Did you know the following myths about Lyme Disease?

Myth 1 All ticks carry Lyme disease bacteria.

Myth 2 If you find a deer tick attached to your skin, you will get Lyme disease.

Myth 3 The bull's-eye rash is the only symptom you will have.

Answer:

Fact 1: Only deer ticks carry Lyme disease, and not all deer ticks have it.

Fact 2: In order for a host to become infected, a deer tick has to be attached to your skin for at least 24-48 hours.

Fact 3: May people who contract Lyme disease never recall having a tick bite. Other symptoms include fatigue, fever, headache, achiness and joint pain.
